What is your return policy?

We want you to be 100% happy with your new Mai Tie bow tie. So, please email us if you have any issues with ordering or returning, we will be more than happy to accommodate you!

For obvious reasons, custom orders are not eligible for returns.

Can I return/exchange my purchase?

Yes, of course! If you are not happy with your new Mai Tie bow tie, you may return or exchange the item within 30 days from the purchase date. A store credit or refund will be issued, only if items are NOT washed, altered, or worn and have all original tags attached.

Please email us at for a return request, provide the order number, style, size and reason you are returning the item.  If you are interested in trying another style or size, please let us know in the email as well.  

Any personalized, monogrammed, or customized product is not eligible for return or exchange. Custom wedding orders are not eligible for returns.

What if I don’t have my receipt?

If you don’t have your receipt, but all the tags are still on the item and it has NOT been washed, altered, or worn, the item can be returned for merchandise credit at the last retail value.

How long will my return/exchange take?

Please allow 30 days for your return/exchange to be processed.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

Yes, for returns you need to pay for shipping but you do not need to return the box, which means your return should be inexpensive as the bow ties by themselves are very light.

How do I complete a return to Mai Tie?

  1.  Please email us with a return request to  Please let us know what you are returning and the reason for your return
  2.  Repackage your return in the original box or a similar packaging.
  3. All products must be unused and undamaged, and with all tags and accessories to ensure a full credit. We reserve the right to refuse a refund request if it does not comply with our return policy.

  1. Please keep the tracking number for your return.  
  2.  We will then email you, upon receipt of your return and then generate your refund, credit or exchange.  Please allow one - two billing cycles from the day you return the merchandise for your account to be credited.
